Mateo Herreros is an American hair stylist in Beverly Hills born and raised in New York. 

 

He started his career in 1990 working in some of New York's prestigious salons, Mike & Me, The Spot and Oribe Salon to name a few. It is there where he started to hone his craft from behind the chair to behind the lens with photo greats Steven Klein, Walter Chin and Francesco Scavullo. 

 

Mateo moved to Los Angeles in late 1994 and started another chapter at Cristophe Salon. He was there for over 20 years building his clientele ranging from VS models and actors to athletes and musicians. He prides himself on his close relationships his people, some for the entire time he has been in LA. 

Now in 2017, he helped Alessandro Casalino to create a homelike space in the neighborhood of Beverly Hills called Alma.
